The popular uprising of 14 October 1973 (Thai: เหตุการณ์ 14 ตุลา, RTGS: Hetkan Sip-Si Tula, "October 14 Event"; or Thai: วันมหาวิปโยค, RTGS: Wan Maha Wippayok, "Day of Great Sorrow") was a watershed event in Thailand's history. The uprising resulted in the end of the ruling military dictatorship and altered the Thai political system. Notably, it highlighted the growing influence of Thai university students in politics.
This piece of art is dedicated to 40th Years of Thailand Political incidence.
Created for ThaiPBS channel using for historic documentary opening sequence. The idea of symbolic structure was simply developed from "Dove" sign of peace. in the design i separate two parts of conflict into each side, left side represents for Student activism and right side represents for military and in the middle is Democracy Monument. Contained with the real events in style of grunge texture brushes.
